The Pinecrest Elementary School project consisted of planning, design, construction documents and contract administration. The design included a study of several alternate site configurations to best integrate the new additions with the existing school. The program included a new media center and classroom addition, renovation of the building façade and administrative offices, new and renovated parking areas, new water service, new playgrounds, painting of the existing building and upgrading of the existing life safety system.

The client added an on-site sanitary treatment plant during the construction drawing phase. Forbes Architects provided complete contract administration services for this publicly bid project.

The project was contracted as a joint venture with Suzanne Martinson Architects. This project received the Award for Excellence in Design by the Florida Association of the American Institute of Architects in 1995. The award was one of only ten presented statewide.
